Venue
On Turkey’s famous ‘Turquoise Coast’,The Pomegranate is a small oasis of comfort and style, surrounded by rural scenery in Faralya. It is just twenty minutes south east of Olu Deniz. You will enjoy the lovely views over the sea. And in the backdrop, you will find the well-known Lycian Trail has marked paths to take you through the forests and mountains on this lovely section of coastline. The walks start from right outside the hotel.
There’s plenty of space to be by yourself if you wish. The large and mature gardens offer plenty of shady nooks for curling up with a good book, or simply unwinding. The Pomegranate has been designed with great attention and care. It features natural materials, stone and cedar, and furnished tastefully with wood and stunning fabrics.
An extra touch of luxury is provided by The Pomegranate’s own marble lined traditional Turkish bath; steam and wash away your stress. This gives your yoga holiday in Turkey a wonderful and traditional experience.
Yoga
You will have two yoga classes daily with one yoga free day. Each day begins with an optional early morning meditation followed by a two-hour asana class. The evening yoga will be a more restorative style for 1.5 hours.
The classes are suitable for all levels and yoga experience.
Sevda Mustafa – yoga techer
Sevda’s classes are based on Hatha and Iyengar with strength in the asanas and some Vinyasa flow sequences to link the body, breath and mind.
Sevda teaches with an open heart encouraging students in their practice. She works with strength in the asanas or postures and then goes deeper into the body using breath awareness. She believes in making the body strong so we can go inwards to find the true self by working through our blockages, which can manifest in stiffness within the body.
Sevda is very respectful of each student’s individual needs within their yoga practice. Both beginners and advanced students wishing to deepen their practice will be welcome.
Yoga space
The wooden yoga shala, is set amid orange and lemon trees, open to the sounds and scents of the scenery. It is fully equipped with mats, bolsters, blocks, belts, and blankets.
