There is nothing quite like studying yoga one to one with a teacher who just gets you. That’s why I spend time getting to know you before designing a practice to fit your needs, that you’ll really enjoy and look forward to taking daily.
In the tradition of Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar there are numerous tools at our disposal, such as:
- asana (postures)
- pranayama (conscious breath regulation)
- nada and mantra (sound)
- ahara and vihara (diet and lifestyle advice)
- philosophy and theory
In addition my teaching utilises bhavana (visualisation), nyasa (special gestures), Yoga sutra-s, and the principles of Ayurveda (the science of vitality) to develop students towards their goals.
Some people come looking for relaxation, others to get fit or loose weight. Yoga can help as a complementary therapy for those with ill-health. I can also assist you with the more challenging physical practices (I teach yoga to some acrobats), and with spiritual direction
