Pregnancy Yoga
Prenatal yoga is highly recommended by the medical profession and is ideal exercise during pregnancy. Why do yoga during pregnancy

  • Can boost energy levels
  • Can keep the body supple without straining
  • Can promote relaxation and encourages restful sleep
  • Can relieve anxiety and stress
  • Can be used to relieve pain in labour and childbirth
  • Can relieve common minor pregnancy ailments (swollen joints, heartburn, constipation)
  • Can help the expectant mother to bond with the unborn baby through breathing and visualisation techniques.

The classes offer a gentle and safe programme of breath work, postures and flowing movements, voice work, relaxation and meditation suited to all stages of pregnancy, from 12 – 42 weeks. Please check with your midwife before you attend the classes. If you are in full time employment you are entitled to paid time off to attend prenatal yoga classes as pregnancy yoga comes under the category of “antenatal appointment, relaxation and Parentcraft classes”. Pregnancy yoga classes will restart on 03rd March 2014, at The Grange, 4:30-6:00pm.
