Intensive Yoga Teacher Training Course

Lingham Yoga Centrum is a comprehensive, spiritually based integral Yoga system guiding students and seekers to well-being, higher consciousness, and spiritual liberation. Our teachings are presented in a very clear and practical framework encompassing the breadth and depth of Indian and Tibetan Tantric Yoga and meditation, while synthesizing science, philosophy, and spiritual traditions from East and West.

Our purpose is to provide guidance and support for today’s spiritual aspirants, Yoga practitioners and a clear inspiring path toward the highest metaphysical goal of Yoga: enlightenment. at the core of our teachings is the practice of an exceptional system of Kundalini-based Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Kramam, Laya Karma and Laya Yoga, these are the most powerful elements of this age-old tradition. This is an approach nearly lost today which realize on energy awareness and concentration during Yoga practice to produce a highly accurate self-understanding of body, mind and spirit. Our comprehensive university-level teachings in Yoga also draw on other sacred and ancient, such as Taoism, Sufism, Kashmiri Shaivism, Christian and Islamic mysticism, and Tibetan Zen Buddhism.

We teach genuine forms of Hatha, Kriya, and Kundalini Yoga in a highly energetic and effective system of integration. Throughout the First and Second Level intensive and beyond, we study Yoga asanas (postures), including their healing and spiritual effects, and additionally explore practical subjects such as meditation, chakras and energy, diet, purification, healing, deep relaxation, and esoteric spiritual knowledge. All lectures are supplemented by comprehensive course notes.

The Level 1 & 2 TTC is a 200++ hours exclusive sadhana ( intensive) course designed and formulated building on the foundation of allowing students to heightened, deepen their spiritual knowledge and understanding with intense daily practice of asanas, pranayama, meditation, mantras, eastern and western concepts on diet and nutrition, bandhas, kriyas, teaching methodology, relaxation and guided imagery methods.

The Level 1 & 2 TTC is a transformative experience rooting the greatest depths in foundation of knowledge for the enhancement process of growth in the path with fun and effectiveness unearthing the secrets of the tradition of Yoga.
This course is suitable for those who want to know more about the inner depths of Yoga, how traditionally it is practised, and the true philosophy and theory behind the wonders of the ancient science. It is for those who aspire to become an excellent knowledgeable Yoga teacher, be it just to teach your family and friends, or make teaching as a career or for self – knowledge. This course is for those who want to be qualified and internationally recognized and a platform for teachers to train overseas.

The Course is divided into 3 levels as it is a very deep and wide subject to cover and to be explored. In this Level (1 & 2) T.T.C. your focus will be in learning the important aspects of teaching the art and science of Yoga.

This is our 200++ hours Exclusive Intensive Sadhana Level (1 & 2) T.T.C. diploma course, and also includes the International Yoga Teacher Diploma, issued by the Asian Yoga Federation. This will be a full time program consisting of 6 to 9 hours of studies/practice weekly.

To satisfy the requirements of the course is of vital importance and the service of Karma Yoga training. Fees include training, course materials, submission of course work and research whenever needed and 3 levels of assessment each month of studies, on-going education continuity, apprenticeship training at the Lingham Yoga Centrum itself and one time examination before obtaining the certification and one time certification of Level 1 & 2.

With revolutionary methods to make the practice accessible and appropriate, our approach is modern, therapeutic, challenging, supportive and steeped in tradition.
Our Yoga Certified Yoga Teacher Training program is a practical training course designed to make you a confident and effective Yoga Instructor – for all levels of students. The purpose of this program is to provide a supportive environment in which students begin to connect with their inner teacher, internal wisdom and inner authentic voice. Through pranayama, asana practice, mind-body journaling, group conversation, reading and guided meditation, students will practice the essential process of conscious listening to your own higher self.
The training is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation of knowledge and information with which you can confidently and effectively facilitate a yoga class for beginners.
The training includes the opportunity to learn different routines based on the Yoga tradition. The routines range in skill level from the basic beginner to the most advanced.
We will share our expertise about marketing, pricing, teaching group or private classes, and setting up your own yoga school/studio with its correct geometrical directions.
We intend to support each student as they develop, deepen, appreciate and expand their understanding of their true authentic self. Through basic study of philosophy, personal alignment, modifications of classical poses, pranayama practices, and individual instruction, this intimate training is sure to be a life enhancing experience ever keeping the ancient secrets enshrined.

The Course program for all 200++ hours covers:

1) Satsang & Prayers: satsang consist of silent meditation, chanting and a talk or reading on the philosophy of the yoga, its application and vedanta (discourse on righteousness path). It will help you develop a strong and steady meditation practise and nourish your life force.

2) Karma Yoga: Karma yoga is the practice of selfless service which helps the participants to feel part of the enviroment.This path instills the practice of non-rewarding mind sets and helps the vital force or prana to flow in the chakra’s and elevate or push the energy to higher dimensions in your charkras. These practises are like a plug that connects the self to the Universe for the divine energy of the Universe to flow like a current within us.

3) Asanas Class: All important aspects of Yoga Kramam ( series of asana with total awareness of getting into asanas and coming out of them with care and safety measures as paramount importants to avoid any unnecessary injuries of the thorough practice of all the twelve basic postures :
a) Its initial, intermediate and advance variations and preparations.
b) Deepening your understanding of Yoga Kramam which is the heart beat of Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Power Vinyasa, Asthanga Vinyasa and numerous other forms.
c) Detailed corrections – a need to know for all levels of teachers.

4) Pranayama:
a) Practise of preparatory breathing exercises, do and don’ts accordance to the secrets of Svara Yoga (Mother of Breath Control).
b) How to use bandhas or locks and Kriyas (Cleansing methods).
c) Extented practice of anuloma viloma.

5) Vedanta: The philosophy of the Vedas or book of spiritual knowledge and the Aphoristic literature of Yoga and its commentaries is of especial interest to yoga students.

6) Raja Yoga: A depth understanding of the study of Eights steps of Mind Control as the course is conducted for the topic is wide and enourmous giving the students a better flow of understanding the works of the mind over body.

7) Bhakti Yoga: The nine modes of Bhakti or devotion and its five devotional attitudes. This help to create a sense of inner connection to your study of yoga and enhance the growth of spiritualness.

8) Naada Yoga & Sanskrit: The effects of Sound Syllables on the Mind and Body. Correct pronunciation of the names and its meaning, this attitude is important to open the heart and purify the mind.

9) Anatomy and Physiology: Study of cells, nervous and endocrine systems accordance to Yogic studies in-relation to the flow of Pranic energy and Physio Dynamics of Yoga. Study of the effects of asanas on our major body systems and mind.

10) Meditation: Guideline to meditation, its benefits and the use of mantras and mantras initiation.

11) Karma and reincarnation: a brief introduction and its effects.

12) Kundalini Yoga: Chakra Breathing and its correct awareness of control and Manipuraka Breathing.

13) Yoga Therapy and Marma Yoga – a very ancient secrets and sacred points in our subtle system that control the flow of energy on our body system.

Yoga Teacher Training Workbook

With lessons that coincide with the Yogasana Manuals, these exercises assist practitioners in deepening their understanding in a practical way by allowing students to explore the lessons in their own time and space.
We will also provide you the Chant CD and Booklet, which work together sharing pronunciation of the Sanskrit names of the poses and follow along chants and kirtans.

Yoga Teacher Training Graduation Details

Homework, written essays, quizzes and a final practical and written exam must be completed prior to certification.You must earn this certification with humility , respect,devotion and faith.
Upon graduation students will be given a Lingham Yoga Centrum accredited diploma which carries the title “Yoga Siromani”, stating that they have completed our strict requirements and are now certified yoga teachers.

RECOGNITION
An Internationally recognized certification from the International SivaShanta Yogasana Vedanta Centre c/o Lingham Yoga Centrum Malaysia is awarded on the successful completion of the course. You need to earn the certification. The Certification carries different sacred titles only with the fulfilment required and satisfied by standards set. The Course is approved recognised with the kind permission from the Director of Indian Medicine Government of India, Yoga Sports Authority of India and the International Shivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre; we surpass all strict criteria of the Yoga Teachers Training Course requirements and in alliance with International Yoga Federation, Asian Yoga Federation, International Yoga Sports Federation which is accredited by International Yoga Alliance.
The Course is also officially recognised by the International Yoga Federation Of Malaysia and Malaysian Yoga Sports Association. This certification is also accredited by the M.S.N. [Malaysia National Sports Council] and Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia.
