“You cannot let go of anything if you cannot notice that you are holding it. Admit your ‘weaknesses’ and watch them morph into your greatest strengths.” – Neale Donald Walsch
This four hour Mindful Yoga workshop will explore different ways to free the body and the mind from resistance and tension during our yoga practice. You will learn to let go and to move more effectively through postures safely, with ease and in greater simplicity.
We will be using several techniques and tools such as pranayama breathing exercises, bodily and sensory meditations and visualisation techniques. They will teach us awareness, self-observance, acceptance and concentration.
Through thoughtful and considered practice you will learn how to hone and master each of these skills. We will work on bringing your mind and body together in harmony by utilising the classical tools of hatha yoga and experience new modern approaches from eminent teachers like Vanda Scaravelli and others influenced by her work.
The last part of the workshop will focus on the deeply relaxing practice of yoga nidra. You will learn about its history, its benefits and follow up with the practice itself.
I will be here to hold space for you, to guide you and help you along your journey.
Laurent.
